About Me
Hi hi, I’m Kiara Matthews, a multimedia journalist and digital storyteller from Germany who is passionate about reporting on the issues, conversations, and communities shaping our world today.
I recently graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Journalism and Emerging Media, where I developed experience in news writing, investigative reporting, multimedia production, and data journalism. Through my work with The Sentinel, our school's news paper, I’ve covered campus and cultural issues, conducted in-depth interviews, and produced stories designed to inform, engage, and spark conversation.
My background also includes social media strategy, audience engagement, and short-form video production, giving me a strong understanding of how modern audiences consume news across digital platforms. I’m especially interested in multimedia storytelling, breaking news, culture reporting, and community-centered journalism that connects with people in an authentic and impactful way.
Whether I’m writing, interviewing, filming, editing, or creating digital content, I’m driven by curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to clear, thoughtful storytelling. I’m currently seeking opportunities in news, digital media, and production where I can continue growing as a journalist and storyteller.
